It was very sad and heartbreaking to hear the news about Lisa. She was such a warm, kind, empathetic and beautiful person. I was lucky enough to get to know her through Tim way back when he and I were in grad school together at UConn and subsequently when we worked together after graduation. She was always so easy to talk with and we always connected on our run training over the years. Whenever I would see her, either at a race somewhere or a corporate event we would always talk about what races we were training for or had recently completed.
A couple memories of her: I remember running with Lisa at the 2000 Boston Marathon - I was living in the Boston area at the time and agreed to meet her around mile 10 and keep her company the rest of the way. She was tough as nails that day in cold and damp conditions finishing with a great time. I also recall a long time ago, she took the time to set me up on date with one of her friends, that was the kind of person she was - always trying to help people.
She is gone too soon, and will be missed dearly, but will live forever in your hearts and memories. With deepest sympathies, our thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

Tim and family,
Although I can think of many reasons we were fond of Lisa, one time comes to mind for me. Being very nervous hosting a dinner at our Pia Lane home in Simsbury. Having Chris´s friends with spouses, when we had three small children at the time, seemed like an impossible task.
When we finally sat down to eat, the first thing Lisa said was wow Kim, I feel so special! I feel like I´m in a fancy restaurant!
I will never forget how her kind words made me feel. It´s almost like she knew that´s exactly what I needed to hear.
We are so sorry for your loss. She will be missed by many.
