Ann,
Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother while i was away. She was the last and nicest lady from our old neighborhood. I have fond memories of her from the beach and the old neighborhood and for allowing me to be a frequent guest at the cottage in Niantic. Those days will always be special memories from my childhood.
Once again i am saddened by the loss of a great lady.

Dear Gramma,
You've been with us all for so long, it's hard to imagine life without you. You and Grandpa gave us so much. You were a beautiful, kind, loving, person who always put others ahead of yourself. I'll never forget our times together especially at the beach. The Sunday morning breakfasts of bacon and eggs you made for all of us, the vegetable garden you tended, and your flower garden around the trees. The afternoons you and Grandpa would sit and relax under the tree and watch us all. There were strawberry sundaes at night from dairy queen and your grandchildren running around outside catching fireflies and "skunk hunting". When there was thunder and lightning you knew where to find me, I'd be on the front porch, and you'd hold me until it was over. When we were small you'd sing to us, I can still hear you singing, you are my sunshine to us. Grandpa would take us for walks in the morning and buy us cracker jacks. We'd eat them on the way home, with a stern warning, "Don't tell Gramma you ate cracker jacks before breakfast". We would come screaming into the house, announcing our pre-breakfast meal and you would holler at Grandpa everytime. You gave us all so many memories and lessons in life that will never be forgotten. You didn't know it, but you were the matriarch of our family. Our hearts are heavy with grief from missing you. I know you are in heaven with Grandpa, sitting under a tree, listening to polka's and having a highball, on a beautiful summer day. Someday we will all meet again, but until then we will have all the beautiful loving memories you gave us.
Love,
Sharon
