My brother I love and miss so much, words cannot express. It seems so sereal that you are not around. Each time I remember you, I almost pick up the phone to call you them realisation hits home. Although you was in america and we were in England, our telephone conversations made it seem like you was just round the corner. I miss you so much it;s so painful.
Rest in peace
Your Sister

O'Neil Kenton Burke (Barba), 43, of Hartford died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 21, 2007 outside of his apartment at Vine St. Burke, the son of Winston and Moveta Burke, was born in St. Thomas, Jamaica. Upon leaving Jamaica, he briefly lived in England before migrating to the United States, where he took up permanent residency. He came to Hartford in April 1992 and became as instant fixture of Albany Avenue, where he was the sole proprietor of Rodsfield Clothing Store. Burke, who always had a welcoming smile on his face, was appreciative of the support he received from his family. He truly treasured every friend and acquaintance and took delight in each handshake. He will be remembered for his love of life and people, his courage in times of trouble and his entrepreneurial spirit and drive. He is survived by both parents, two brothers, Winston & Allan, three sisters, Rose, Valerie and Monica and three daughters, Shaka, Kenisha, and Cherise. Other survivors include his beloved friend and companion, Tina Vail, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are on Saturday, April 28, 2007, from 6-9 p.m. at the Fuqua Funeral Home, 94 Granby Street, Bloomfield, CT. Time and date of the funeral celebration which is to be held in his hometown in Jamaica to be announced later.

my uncle Barba was a great man that would never hurt a soul,he always had others best interests at hand, even while he was thousands of miles away in america. every time i spoke to him, there was nothing but positivity that came from him..i will never forget him.
may he rest in peace and watch over us as he always did.

Barba gave me that name...Starry....because he said that I shined so bright! But it was actually he that was the star who blew into our lives and illuminated it if even for a brief moment. Monica, and the rest of the family.....please know that he was one in a million. Barba, you will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace, Dear Brother. Your spirit will live forever.
