Phyllis D'Addario

Phyllis M. (Nauss) D'Addario,90, of East Hartford and Columbia, passed away Sunday Nov. 6 at home. She was the widow of Joseph P. D'Addario with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Phyllis and Joe began D'Addario's Auto Service in 1965 in EH where it still operates today. But Phyllis' heart belonged to retail. Over the years she worked at several ladies clothing stores and had the closet to prove it. Her late daughter Jody lived in Germany for 40 years and that enabled her to take many European adventures and Joe was an avid fly fisherman who fished both in the US and abroad. She did love to travel and was fortunate enoughto see many beautiful locations. Phyllis is survived by her son Curtis and his wife Tracey with whom she made her home. She leaves 5 grandchildren, Marc Palenza(Athania Ramos) of Bloomfield Curtis D'Addario Jr.(Stephanie) of Mooresville NC ,Matthew (Lan Le) of East Hartford Daniel (Taryssa) OF Columbia and Angelina (Russ MacNeil) of East Hartford.She also leaves 3 great grandchildren and one on the way and her son in law Paul Stille of Germany. Her brother Spencer Nauss (Joan) and many neices and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband Joe and daughter Jody and 3 siblings. A special Thanks to Hartford Healthcare @ Home Hospice , especially nurses Holly O'Connor & Lori Koch and Aide Lynn for their kindness and support through the Hospice process. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hartford Healthcare @ Home_Hospice. A memorial mass will be held Sunday Dec 4 @ Our Lady Of Peace May Rd East Hartford at 8:30 a.m.
