Richard Castellani Obituary
Richard James Castellani, Sr., 61, of Newington beloved husband of Lori (Burgum) Castellani passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was born in Hartford on July 17, 1953 and was the son of Dorothy (Pipjunge) Castellani of Hartford and the late Alfred B. Castellani. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Richard was employed as a Master Electrician for the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest joy in life was his family. Including Lori, his wife of 33 years, Richard is survived by his son, Richard J. Castellani, Jr. of Newington and his daughter, Ashley Castellani of West Hartford. He also leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Alfred B. Castellani, Jr. and his wife, Linda of New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britian Avenue, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. For on-line expressions of sympathy, please visit www.desopo.com

My deepest sympathy to the Castellani family. I went to Batchelder with him and in later years his name popped up again, when his son and my son were in MKMS together. The Castellani family is in my thoughts and prayers.
