Robert Adams Obituary
Bob, as he was known by to his friends, was the son of the late Herman and Sadie Adams. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Elinor and is survived by his two children; daughter Phyllis Madden and her husband Benjamin of Rye Brook, NY, and Howard Adams and his wife Patricia of Sandy Hook, CT, as well as five grandchildren Dylan Madden, Mackenzie Madden, Shea Madden, Sarah Adams, and Jaime Adams.
A kind and beautiful soul, Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren and had enjoyed many hobbies post-retirement including playing golf and fishing with friends, reading, and travelling. Over the past 15 years, Bob enjoyed the company of Naomi Fox. Together, they vacationed, dined at steak houses, spent time with friends, and shared many family get togethers. With Naomi's help, Bob was an impeccable dresser; a button-down collared shirt with a sweater and dress pants was his signature.
We will miss him very dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we were able to spend with him.
A private funeral service will be held. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, March 3rd 12:00PM to 2:30PM at Duncaster (40 Loeffler Rd, Bloomfield, CT). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach, 835 West Queen Street, Southington, CT 06489 (www.cfdo.org/support). My late wife, Nancy Utman Bolgard, and other Utman family members were patients of Dr. Adams when we got married in 1980, and I became one of his patients, too. When he semi-retired, we changed to other dentists. Not only was he a skilled practitioner, but he was also very friendly and caring. We extend our sincere sympathies to his family.

julie & i were very sad to hear our friend Bob passed away. we were good friends for over 40 years. ELLIE and
BOB were like family to us celebrating the happy times and some of the unhappy times. we were invited as part of the family to Passover holiday where bob made his famous horse radish. bob was a great dresser with his famous button down collar shirt, slacks and always a different sweater. we also shared uconn mens and womans basketball tickets. we attended every game at the civic center and most at storrs ,conn. When i first came to ct. bob took me fishing which i never had done. he caught the biggest cat fish and i thought i caught a whale but it was a rubber tire someone dumped in the river but ,it was a fun day, we shared many parties of graduations, birthdays, and weddings.
Bob will be truly missed,he and ellie will be joined in heaven now. rest in peace my dear friend.
