Robert A. Wisniewski

Predeceased by parents John and Phyllis (Kalinowski) Wisniewski and brother Jack, Bob was a man of faith, science and the arts; kind, honest, generous, humble and deeply spiritual, Bob did everything with gratitude and grace. A man of many layers, Bob loved The Beach Boys and Bach, electronics and poetry, basement workshops and wooded trails, the solitary song of the Catbird and singing with his resonant bass voice in harmony as an esteemed member of the Greater New Haven Community Chorus. Bob's most joyful memories include running freely at "107" his childhood home in Elmwood, Ct., St. Brigid Church/School, first period orchestra (viola) at Conard (1966), Sigma Nu, Freshman Basketball, singing in the choir in a tux at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J., his cozy home "168" in Westville New Haven on the "Best Block in the World", Meigs Point, the Marconi Site in Cape Cod, and any time spent sharing tools and building advice with his cherished son Christopher, stories with his dear friend Marc, or coffee and Scrabble with his beloved life partner Jill. Though Bob majored in Chemistry, his career was primarily electronics, at Infodex, and later at RFBD. Bob, who could fix anything, often in a most unique manner, worked as a "handyman" and even did roofing. Bob loved everything "Radio", and was a lifelong member of the AARL "KB1JNY". Family and friends greatly miss Bob, a man who always saw the good in everyone, and who believed our path is guided by a loving God. "If it's not kind, it's not God".
