Ronald Balicki

1948 - 2014

Ronald Balicki, 65, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday March 25, 2014 following a valiant battle with cancer. Ron was born to the late Walter and Mary Balicki April 6, 1948 in New Britain, CT. He graduated from Pulaski High School and attended CCSU. Ron served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He worked for Golf Week Magazine for thirty years. Early on in his career, he covered the Pro Tour and the last twenty years Ron covered College and Amateur Golf. Ron was inducted into the College Golf Coaches Hall of Fame in 2010. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Deborah Balicki; his brother, Walter Balicki and his wife Rebecca of Berlin, CT and his three stepsons, Jerrien Denny, Eric Denny and Jeff Denny. Graveside service and burial of Mr. Balicki's ashes will be held Friday April 4, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley Street, New Britain, Ct. There are no calling hours. The Paul A.
