Rose, whom I knew through her daughter, impressed me with her positive attitude and pursuit of one of her many talents, painting. I particularly loved the one of her house. I saw in that her larger sense that home is extremely important to family. And family was so important to Rose.

Rose was a remarkable woman and a kind and generous friend, with a wonderful sense of humor and joy. Lynne and I knew her for only a relative few of her 98 years but the size of the place she occupies in our hearts is testimony to who she was.
