Samuel Gooden Obituary

Samuel A. Gooden, 82, of Hartford, CT, transitioned peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Samuel was born February 14, 1941, son to the late Egbert and Victoria Gooden.

Samuel leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Donovon Gooden, Jarvis Chambers, Derrick Gooden, and Denton Gooden; his daughters, Nadine Gooden-Nelson, Marlene Landers, Sophia Gooden, Samantha Gooden, Patrenia Gooden, Kianna Gooden, and Erica Chambers; his brothers, Linval Gooden, Franklin Gooden, Roy Gooden, and Errol Gooden; his sisters, Venetta Gooden, Vivienne Gooden, and Lurline Bailey, 28 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren, and a host of other close relatives and friends.

Samuel's family will receive family and friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10am-1am, followed by a celebration of life at 11am, at The Lodge Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor, CT. For online condolences please visit
