Scott MacAulay Obituary

MACAULAY, Scott T., Sr. Scott T. MacAulay, Sr, born February 15, 1938 in Hartford, died Sunday, (June 28, 2009) at Hospice House in Palmetto, FL. after a nine-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, son, Scott, Jr. and daughter, Cindi. He was predeceased by daughter, Karen. Scott was an Eagle Scout, Air Force veteran and retired Milford firefighter. He received the honor of Firefighter of the Year in 1969. Scott moved from Connecticut to Florida in 1981. In his later years, he split his time between Florida and Wethersfield. Scott served as a member of Braidentown Masons Lodge #99 in Bradenton, FL., and as a shriner of Sahib Shrine in Sarasota, FL. He was Legion of Honor Commander in 2004 and Florida State Legion of Honor Commander 2006-2007. He also belonged to the Manatee Shrine Club, was a Kentucky Colonel, a life member of the DeMolay Legion of Honor, a member of the York Rite Mystic Brotherhood and the Royal Arch Masters. He is also survived by his brother Craig, sister-in-law, Gerry, and mother, Marjorie. Graveside Services Wednesday, July 15, 2 p.m. at King's Highway Cemetery.
