I remember back to the days of the Real Draft band and the practice time we spent with all the other members.
May God bless him and his family

Just a note to say I had a special place in my heart for Gage while Tricia and I were at the BARN. His genuine warmth, kindness, sense of humor and love of music drew me to him. I'll bet Jesus is glad to have him home. Kit & Tricia McDermott, Northampton, MA

Our deepest sympathies on Gage's passing. He was a man with a big heart and love for life. We were in a small group with him and the Japenga's for several years, and it was our privilege to know him. May you be comforted in the knowledge that he is fully himself, alive and rejoicing in heaven. We will always remember him fondly. Sharie, Chris, Rachael and Johannah Weakley

Hello Simmons Family, I am sad to see Gage go. At church, Gage always sat in the front row. Whenever I attended church, I always sat behind him. Sometimes Gage would use the tamberine during the worship time. It was fun to enjoy the worship music with him. My husband, Leigh, spent a lot of time with Gage. He use to drive Gage to church for bible study on Saturdays. We invited Gage to come for dinner one evening. Gage made sure he baked cookies to share for dessert. Our boys enjoyed his visit. Leigh and I grew to care for Gage. It is shocking how quick he went home to be with the Lord. Gage probably wouldn't come back if he could. I thank God we got to spend time with him. Sincerely, Cynthia and Leigh Gammie

Dear Barbara and the rest of the Simmons family,
It was our great honor and privilege to be blessed by Gage's warm heart and spirit. He challenged and inspired us. He loved us enough to be entirely honest with us, and he always believed in us. As iron sharpens iron, he made us better people. We can't help but miss him.
We are greatly saddened to know of your loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Simmons Family,
I became friends with Gage when we moved from Htfd to Simsbury at # 3 Fox Den Rd when I was 10 years old. Gage & I played music & boxed in your recreation room. I'm glad we saw each other at our 40th class reunion. I'll miss his laugh & good spirits.

Dear Simmons Family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We knew Mr. Simmons through his work at Fitzgerald's. He was always so helpful and kind to us. You are in our thoughts at this time of sorrow.

Dear Simmons Family and especially Barbara,
Thank you for sharing Gage with us thru out the years. Gage was a very loving caring man with an enormous heart & soul for the family, people and town who he treasured. Jim remebers his moments with Gage when they first started playing music to being in their band The Real Draft and as Doc. I remeber Gage being the first person to welcome me to Simsbury in 1982 with a knock on the door, flowers and being much more funnier than the welcome wagon lady. We will always chuckle when we think about Gage and miss his free spirt.
Our best always,
Jim & Janet Martocchio

For the past several years I sat next to Gage each Wednesday morning at the Intonations rehearsals. I got to know him well and admired his talent as a singer and his engaging personality as a person. I'll miss him.
