Kimberly Andrews Obituary

Kim was well known in the community where she lived, Big River, California. She was born in Aurora, Illinois, raised by her father, Gary Andrews. She had siblings, brothers Dale and Dean are living as is her father, Gary. Her son, Cory (who was born on 12/31/1989) died November of last year. His death hit her hard, yet she would say, Cory is still with me.
She also has several grandchildren from her 3 children, Michelle, Nicole and Cory.
Kim worked as waitress and bartender for many years in the local area, and then turned to baking as a income. She enjoyed making others happy with her many varied specialties. It is said that she got this gift of baking from her father.
Many local restaurants and residents would place their orders of baking goods for the holidays and special occasions. She would sell her items also at the Big River Post Office. People would stop and gladly visit with Kim and find out what the treats of the day were in her coolers. Items from brownies, lemon bars, pecan pies, tarts, various cakes/pies, cheese cakes and cookies, could be purchased in cut slices or orders could be place for whole items.
Kim had a sense of humor. Her speech was direct. She would tell it like it is.
The holidays are different with out her baked goods. Kim is missed, and not just for her baking. She also had strong faith in Jesus as her Savior and Lord, and would see and share His affect on her daily life. She struggled with health issue for quite a few years, yet was very private in her sharing. She also was good in communication on Social Media to keep in touch with what's going on in the world.
Kim would said, God has a plan. His plan for her was completed. She is with her Lord.
