Ronald Kauffman Obituary

RONALD GENE KAUFFMAN
February 18, 1946 - May 8, 2018
Ronald Gene Kauffman, 72, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 8, 2018.
Ron was one of the good guys. He was born in Upland, CA and raised in the San Bernardino valley. After graduating from Eisenhower High School and 2 years at Valley College he was drafted into the Army. He completed his service in the Army Military Police and began his career for the California Highway Patrol. Ron gave traffic reports for nine local radio stations and was an instructor at the San
Bernardino Sheriff's Academy. He received commendations for his efforts in auto theft investigations.
Early on he worked out of the San Bernardino CHP office. Because of his love of boating he transferred to the Needles office and moved to Lake Havasu City. His last assignment before retiring was the resident post at Parker, California.
Ron retired to spend time on his many interests, which included cars, motorcycles, boating, golf and being with good friends, especially Greg & Phyllis and Bill.
Everyone who knew Ron knew of his good humor, kindness and willingness to lend a hand no matter what. He was an awesome friend, brother and dad.
Preceding in death were his parents, Howard and Eara Kauffman. He is survived by his daughter, Charnel Lyn (Kauffman) Mott, her husband Bob and their children, Rachelle 22 and Cory 20. Other survivors include sister Jackie (Jim) Brown and their family.
Ron wanted no service, just perhaps everyone to have a glass of Jack Daniels and tell stories of their good times and (mis)adventures.

We worked a lot of years together in the Fontana, Bloomington area on day shift. It was an honor and pleasure to have worked along side such a fine individual and outstanding officer. Will always have good memories of those times.
Your not gone Ron, just finished this part of the journey and are now headed to the next part where we will be reunited once again.
RIP my friend and thank you for your service
