Sandra Wanamaker Obituary

Sandra Harris Wanamaker, 82, will join husband Monte Wanamaker in Heaven, as Monte passed away on Dec. 31, 2020. She enjoyed having her son, Jeffery, with her in her final days who had been in Havasu since early December 2020 caring for both parents.
Sandra was an avid artisan and loved to paint and draw from early childhood. Her dream was to become a licensed architect. She and Monte were married for 65 years, spending the first 34 years in Southern California before a move to Lake Havasu City to join Monte's parents Lloyd and Faye Wanamaker, who had moved to Lake Havasu City in its early development years from Southern California.
Sandra was very active as a member of the Havasu Ramblers Motor Home Group serving as its treasurer and helping plan the very active travel itineraries as close as Show Low and as distant as Niagara Falls, New York. She loved art in all forms and had major collections adorning the Wanamaker home. An animal lover, she and Monte always had dogs, and in later years a beloved cat, and cared for them as family members.
Sandra is survived by two sons, Jeffery of Redondo Beach, California and Corey and his wife, Debra, also Southern California residents, her sister, Pamela Harris. She was preceded by her parents Hoyt and Christine Harris.
Sandra will be cremated, and her ashes scattered with Monte at a place they chose. Sandra spent lots of pleasurable moments at her kitchen table always adoring the view of the adjoining golf course. She lived life to the fullest and entertaining was her pastime.
Her vivacious personality will be missed as will her role as a very involved mother to her boys. She passed peacefully at home in the presence of Jeffery.
Private family services to be held at a later date.
Services were placed in the care Bradbury Memorial Center.
