MariaJean Jackson, 68, went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2014. A Homegoing memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, July 17 at True Vine Church.

She will be missed by her children, Laechia (Donald R. Moore) and TalBray Sr. (Rachelle) Jackson; her grandchildren, RaShawnda Hines, ShawnDre Hines, TalBray Jackson, Jr., MarTwea English, Sr., Sander Johnson II, Isaiah Jackson, Sr; her great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

To the family, My heart filled condolences for the loss of Maria, she will truly be missed by all that knew her. My greatest memory is when her and my mother in law Evelyn both lived on Washington and how we would get together at either Maria's or Evelyn's house and listen to music we would dance all around the house laughing,singing and having a great time. After that we would always end up at Boswell for breakfast such good times. Laechia and Hochie as well as the rest of the family my Prayers is for strength for you all during this difficult time, Just remember Absent from the Body is Present with the Lord. Maria is with the rest of our family that has departed from this earth, she has gained her Wings in Heaven and all of those we have loss along the way was greeting her at them Pearly gates with their arms open wide receiving her with much Love. "Miss Maria" as I called her...

She was a beautiful, outspoken woman and she will truly be missed! I will never forget the times that I had spent with her in her home, at work or elsewhere.
