FRANCES KAY WIPPEL CANADAY ROBINETTE, 66, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Teays Valley Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Dan Spreacker and Pastor Steve Williams. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Kay was born February 27, 1951, in Huntington, W.Va., the daughter of the late Anthony and Lillian Smith Wippel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Canaday, and second husband, Gary Robinette; one aunt, Margaret Faye Smith; uncles, Gray Welch and Charles Edward "Tom" Smith; and a cousin, Willie Gray. Kay was a lifelong resident of Huntington, W.Va., a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School and a member of Central Freewill Baptist Church. She was a title clerk for Superior Cadillac and worked 36 years in the car business. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Chrystal M. Roberts (Bill) Moretto; cousins, Thomas Gray, Charles (Peggy) Smith, Goldie Marie (Jim) Walker and Roger Lee Smith. In addition to her family, she leaves behind close friends and her beloved pet cat, Payton Dayton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017, at the Reger Funeral Home.
