JULIE DONAHOE, 48, of Barboursville, W.Va., went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 23, 2017, with her family and friends by her side. There will be a celebration of her life 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Beard Mortuary. Her family will receive friends after 4 p.m. She was born April 13, 1969, the daughter of Dr. Don Donahoe and Sue Dillon Donahoe of Barboursville, formerly of Logan, W.Va. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Chambers. She was a graduate of Logan High School and Huntington School of Beauty Culture. She was the owner of Karma Salon and has been a hairdresser for more than 20 years. Julie lived by example the motto, "Be peaceful, loving and kind," and encouraged others to do the same. She fought hard during her battle with cancer and never let the disease discourage her from helping others; she would say, "Living is giving" and proved this to people by having backpack and coat drives every year for the needy. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving family, her wife who she adored, Catherine L. Donahoe; her two children who were her greatest gift and all she ever dreamed of having, London Darby Donahoe and Brinkley Catherine Donahoe; she is also survived by her sweet sisters, Susie Chambers of Barboursville and Donna Midkiff of South Point, Ohio; a loving brother and sister-in-law, Schoch and Lara Donahoe of Huntington, W.Va.; her very special nieces and nephews, Caleb, Chance, Jesse and Maggie; a best friend for over 20 years who has been by her side, Micki Woods of Huntington; and a host of extended family, special friends and clients whom she held very dear to her heart.
