Stacy Morrison Obituary
STACY NEIL MORRISON, 55, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born March 30, 1968, in Huntington, W.Va. She was the daughter of Lynda Jeffries Hunter and the late Jimmie N. Hunter.
Stacy was a graduate of Vinson High School and Marshall University. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring daughter, selfless friend, and passionate teacher. Stacy enjoyed spending time with her husband and traveling with their dear friends. Her biggest joys in life were being a mother to her two children and becoming a Nona (grandma) to her first grandchild. She was an active member of Kenova United Methodist Church, serving in the choir and volunteering in various roles. She was a drum major in high school through college where she led her peers consistently. She was a 3rd grade teacher at Ceredo Kenova Elementary where her students were more like her children. Stacy loved fiercely.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Morrison; one son and future daughter-in-law, Hunter Morrison and Holly Schneider of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Timothy Keep Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio; one granddaughter, Nora Keep; her mother, Lynda Jeffries Hunter; three brothers and one sister-in-law, John Hunter, Kraig Hunter, and Chris and Lisa Hunter; and a special friend, Gus.
Family and friends are invited to the services being held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Kenova United Methodist Church, by the Reverend Andrew Tennant. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Kenova United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made in memory of Mrs. Morrison to Kenova United Methodist Church, 503 15th Street, Kenova, WV 25530. Rollins Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rollinsfh.com. The service will be livestreamed at the church Facebook page.

So long since seeing friends from S. Jeff Dr./VHS. I remember building forts, snowball fights, and exploring. Stacy always so easy to talk to, or just sit by the creek with. Seems like just a few weeks since we spoke...nope...35 yrs. So sorry for terrible loss, but heaven welcomes my dear childhood friend.

Stacy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was smart, funny, kind, witty and always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and those who didn't know, missed out on a great person. Rest easy Stacy and God Bless you and your wonderful family.

Such heartbreaking news. Stacy, you will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know you. My mom loved to sit talking on the porch with you and Steve when he came over to cut her grass. Stacy was my neighbor until we moved away in 1975. I have many wonderful memories of living on South Jefferson Drive! I remember watching Evil Knievel on TV at her house and going Trick or Treating on Halloween. We reconnected on Facebook a few years ago and talked about our daughter's volleyball exploits. I am so sorry for the loss of Stacy and my prayers go out to the entire family.
