To Adam's family... Although I never met your son, it was impossible to not feel connected to him and your family. He was an inspiration to all of us and his faith and strength will be something that I carry with me forever. We didn't know Adam personally, but have attended Christmas Mass at Holy Family with relatives when visiting from out-of-town...Father Molloy spoke so beautifully about Adam this past December when he introduced him at the mass and we couldn't help but be touched by what an incredible boy he was and by how valiantly he was fighting. To the Carter family,I didn't have the privilege to meet Adam, but him and my 12 year old niece, Bethany, were battling the same cancer together and it was comforting to know she was not alone in her struggle. She will fight twice as hard now for Adam too. I pray you will know God's peace.

I don't know Adam too well, but from what I heard from friends who knew him well, he sounds like he was the sweetest boy ever. So positive, so happy no matter what, and grateful. Well know it's sad to lose him, but just be happy for him, because he's done suffering. I'm sure he doesn't want any of us to be sad, but to be happy.
