A year has gone by and we still think of Barbara so often. We miss the phone calls, the sharing of stories, and the gales of laughter. She lives in our hearts. Merri and Harris

I attended Joe Hall Elementary. I was very little but I do remember Mrs. Bell walking the halls of the school. I vividly remember how gentle, caring, and kind she was with the kids and the staff.
I later attended Paul W. Bell Middle school and remember her being at the schools opening ceremonies. She was so proud and honored that the school carried her late Husband's name.
Her contribution to education will live on forever.
To the family, may she always live in your hearts and memories.

To Barbara's family, what a shock to learn of Barbara's passing. I knew Barbara and Paul for many years and recently renewed our friendship as we worked together after our retirement. May you be comforted by knowing that others share your grief as well as happy moments.

We fondly remember meeting Barbara walking the beach on Jensen Beach. We remarked how lucky we were to live in Florida on that glorious day. Barbara was aglow with her tan, her sparkling eyes, and broad smile. That memory will stay with us.

I remember Barbara Bell when she was in high school as Barbara Vorzimer. She and her sister Peggy visited our home often as Barbara and my sister were very close. My sister was Jeanne Goldstein, who passed away of breast cancer in 1989 at age 51. Barbara and Peggy were very special and I still remember the fondness I felt for both of them.
My condolences to the family of Barbara.

Mrs. Bell gave me my first job as a Kindergarten teacher at Joe Hall. It was a time when jobs were unbelievably hard to come by thanks to Hurricane Andrew, but Mrs. Bell found a way to keep me at Joe Hall. For that, I am eternally grateful. Mrs. Bell was a mother to all of her teachers, guiding them to be the best teachers and people they could be. Since that time, I have had many wonderful principals, but there is only ONE Mrs. Bell. I will always remember her joyous personality and spirit, and, of course, when she came to my wedding. I send my condolences to her family, and also my gratitude for sharing Barbara Bell with ALL of us!

Good humor, a keen intellect, loyalty, personal and professional integrity, and an unwavering comittment to seeing the good in everyone are some of the traits that come to mind when I remember the times shared with Barbara. Knowing her has been my good fortune. While she will be missed, she leaves behind memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Barbara will always be in our hearts. We cherish all our times, but especially the funny times...her first massage and being so nervous she put her clothes on inside out; trying to sneak her umbrella into the Orange Bowl, only to tell the guard at the gate, "I don't have an umbrella in my purse!" Her umbrella went right on the pile never to be seen again Funnier still is the fact that the guard never even asked. She just volunteered the information! Those are only two of hundreds of Barbara stories. There is a wonderful prayer that we say on the High Holy Days which reminds us that those we love we live as long as we remember them. We will remember Barbara always. Merri and Harris

We were most fortunate to have known Barbara and to have her call us friends. She would light-up a room when she entered. All who knew her respected her and valued her judgement. A lovely person, she will remain in our hearts and we offer our most sincere condolences to her family.
