BARBARA MOBERG Obituary

MOBERG, BARBARA W. (GRAMMY), 72, of Miami Shores, passed away September 23, 2011. She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Carl in 2000. Barbara was born in Miami, FL, in 1939 and married Carl in 1960. In recent years, Barbara volunteered at South Miami Hospital. She also enjoyed walking and photography. Barbara is survived by her son Daniel (Emmy) and the loves of her life, her two granddaughters, Abigail and Danielle. She also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Peggy Custer (Roy) and Barbara Murphy as well as nephews David (Janet), Mike (Kim), and Ken (Debbie), many grandnephews and nieces, cousins and many dear lifelong friends. All of her life, Barbara was a most unselfish and devoted woman. She was a very active member of Miami Shores Baptist Church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 28 from 6-9pm at Lithgow-Bennett-Philbrick Funeral Home located at 15011 West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL. Service on Thursday at 1 PM at Miami Shores Baptist Church with interment at Southern Memorial Park. I met Barbara about 10 yrs ago at one of our volunteer luncheons at South Miami Hospt. She was always a delight to be around & cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.
