Dear Jerry was a blessing in my life growing up in Miami Beach. He was my Davis Cup team mate in 1953-54, and while he was always a fierce competitor both mentally and physically, he was a great friend who earned the respect and admiration of the whole tennis community. May God bless his family and all the loved ones who'll miss him greatly.

"Each soul is a beautiful flower that passes from the earth, only to blossom in Heaven's Garden. (author unknown)." Jerry's kindness to me when I was younger will never be forgotten. We are saddened by his passing but much richer having known him.

Leo was always impressed with the way Jerry, even at the tender age of 14, could figure out what shots were working for him, or what wasn't working for his opponent. His on court strategy was the best. His off court demeanor was pretty special, too. God speed, great player.....

We have lost a wonderful neighbor and friend. We've shared many hurricanes together & watched our daughters grow up together. Our sympathy to Sherri and their family.

For many years ... along with the rest of the wonderful Moss family, I was Jerry's hairstylist as well. Having Jerry in my chair was a welcomed moment to a hectic day, as his sense of humor was a delight. I will miss our talks, but the memories of Jerry's deep dedication to his loving family (something we all could aspire to) is what I will remember the most.
See you in Heaven my friend!

I worked with Jerry for 16 years and had a close relationship during that time. It is with great sympathy to Sherry and his daugthers that I extend my condolences, He will always have a place in my memory of the times we worked together at Bereley.

One of my most vivid memories of Welleby is Jerry (wearing his glove) playing on the 2nd clay court with Jose Ayala. It feels like yesterday! Caryn and Stacy are great athletes, but it was Jerry's dedication that made them great tennis players. I'm so, so sorry for your loss.
