Sarkis Soghanalian Obituary

Sarkis G. Soghanalian passed away on October 5, 2011. He was born February 6, 1929 in Iskanderun, Turkey to Garabet and Maritza Kapelian Soghanalian. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his daughter Melo and her husband, Gary, and his son Garo, whom he lived with. He is also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his sister, Anahis Hartz, and his brother, Zaven. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 7th at 7:00pm at the L.D.S. Chapel on 9900 W. Flagler Street.

My heart goes out to Sarkis family. He was the best man at my wedding in his office. A day I will never forget. He had a truly sincere and genuine personality. He was smart, funny, generous to a fault and never shy of speaking the truth. He will never be forgotten.

Uncle Sarkis was a dear and much loved member of our family. We will always remember his kindness to all of us throughout his life. His love for life was contagious. He had a tremendous sense of humor and looked at life as
