SHELLY, I HAVE NOT HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET YOU AND THE BOYS YET, HOWEVER, I DO RECALL THE FUN TIMES WITH TOMMY WHEN WE WERE KIDS AT HIS MOM AND DADS HOUSE. WE ARE COUSINS, JACK AND DOTTIE SMITH ARE MY MOM AND DAD. I SPOKE TO TOMMY SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND WE TALKED ABOUT GETTING TOGETHER. I REGRET NOT HAVING DONE IT IN A MORE TIMELY MANNER. I DO WANT TO EXPRESS MY DEEPEST SIMPATHY TO YOU AND THE BOYS. I DID SEE YOU AT THE CHURCH SERVICE (I WAS THERE WITH MY MOM AND DAD) IT WAS NICE TO HEAR SUCH WONDERFUL AND FUNNY THINGS ABOUT TOMMY. TOMMY IS WITH GOD NOW WHICH IS A MUCH BETTER PLACE TO BE, BUT HE WILL SURELY BE MISSED. I HOPE TO MEET YOU AND THE BOYS SOMEDAY. THERE IS SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO SEND TO YOU. Dear Shelley and Family, I was privileged to know Tom and to work with him on many projects over ther years. He at all times was a true professional in every sense of the word but more importantly was a very caring individual. The south Florida construction industry will never be the same without his hearty laugh and presence. He will be sorely missed but the memories that we all have of him will support us and delight us in spite of his absence. He touched all of us in a positive manner. May God bless you and may you find strength in fond memories of Tom.

I was so saddened to receive the call about Tommy's death. What a shock to all of us. Although I didn't know Tommy well, we certainly shared mutual friends and I was aware of the vital part he played in his community/family. Just want you to know that I am thinking of you all...can certainly relate to what you are going through after losing my husband suddenly 2 yrs ago and having two sons to raise.
