A Friend Who Can't Forget
May 17, 2022
Tomorrow marks 15 years since I last saw you. I can't believe it's been 15 years. I can never shake this week off my mind. It still feels like a lie. It all still feels like a sick joke. You don't know how many times I looked at Ms. Bryan's door during homeroom and Language Arts hoping you'd walk in with a huge grin on your face saying, "Gotcha!" You were so young. Now that we're almost nearing thirty next year, I can't help but wonder of the life that got taken from you.
I miss you, man.

Even though i had not seen him for many years i still hold im close to my hart. I have known him since before first grade in elm. Even though many miles were between us he was never out of mind. He will live on in my mind as he was. to me he will be forever fourteen.
