Christy Mae Sharp

1976 - 2018

SHARP, Christy Mae, age 41 of Tullahoma, and her precious unborn baby girl, Hailynn River Sharp, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018. Hailynn was due to arrive on Feb. 20, 2018. Christy was born on May 10, 1976, in Hawthorne, California. The mother of seven surviving children, she is remembered as being a selfless, strong, amazing and giving mother. Christy always was considered "everybody's mom," and loved raising her children. She was a beautiful writer and singer, an "artsy soul," who also enjoyed decorating and baking. Christy loved her babies, family and God; she was a devout Christian. Christy was employed as a preschool teacher at The Village Academy and Daycare. She was preceded in death by her godparents, Ted and Linda Irish Powell; daughter, Haley Alycia Cardenal; grandmother, Phyllis Havener; and uncle, Carlton Havener. Christy is survived by her children, Rayn Nicole Graves (Matthew William Bohna) of Decherd, Jayd-Lynn Alexis (Riley Wade) Perez of Lebanon, Madison Rose Graves of Nashville, Trinity Michelle Fontaine Reynolds of Tullahoma, Phyllisa Maya Louise Reynolds of Tullahoma, Kylie Gene Marie Reynolds of Tullahoma, and Finnegan Sharp of Tullahoma; mother, Marlene Havener of Roseburg, Oregon; father, Steven Sumpter of Palm Springs, California; siblings, Marcella (Del) Wren of Winchester, Oregon, April (Josh) Neal of Winchester, Steven (Tanya) Sumpter Jr. of Winston, Oregon, and Rachel Cuellar of Roseburg, Oregon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A memorial account for the family has been established at Citizens Community Bank.
