Eugene Glass

GLASS, Eugene, age 85, of Winchester, departed this life on Wednesday, Dec.14, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare in Tullahoma, following a brief illness. Mr. Glass was born in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday, Dec. 4, 1931, to the late Leonard David and Ida Louise Glass. Mr. Glass was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Korean War. He is a member of the Winchester First United Methodist Church. He was employed as a plant foreman at the former Cleveland Pneumatic plant in Tullahoma. Mr. Glass was active in the American Legion and Lions Club during his active years. His favorite hobbies were bowling and coaching and playing softball - he loved all sports. In addition to his parents, Mr. Glass was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sabrina Glass, sister, Shirley Nicholson and half-brothers, Richard and Lee Hauber. He is survived by his wife, Louvena Mayes Glass; daughters, Tere Anderson and husband, Jerry, Sandy Davis and husband Randy, all of Winchester; son, Gary Glass of Florida, sisters; Karen Haines, Gloria Meyer and Lela Kilkelly, all of Kentucky; four grandchildren; step-grandchild; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services in Estill Springs. Services will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Steve Angus officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
