Janie Philpot Bragg

BRAGG, Janie Philpot, age 103, of Decherd, departed this life on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at the Willows at Winchester. She was born on April 2, 1912, in Shelbyville. Ms. Bragg was a member of the Winchester Church of Christ and was their oldest member. She was employed as a seamstress until her retirement at age 62. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bragg. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Cardwell in October of 2015. She is survived by her son-in-law, Bob Cardwell of Decherd and numerous church friends. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grant Funeral Services. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Joseph Horton officiating. Interment will follow in the Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.
