1973 - 2016

DENISON - Jason Dwayne Key, age 42, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

Mr. Key was born June 19, 1973 in Sherman, Texas; the son of Jimmy and Dorothy (Christman) Key. Jason was raised in Denison where he graduated high school in 1992. As a young man he was very active in the FFA and developed a passion for hunting and fishing. He was employed at Oscar Meyer while working towards his Associate's Degree at Grayson County College. He also worked at Sherman Wire before transferring to Oncor where he worked for 16 years as an electrician. Mr. Key married Amy Stewart on December 3, 1994 at Southside Baptist Church in Denison. He was a man who loved his family immensely and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Key is survived by his loving family, wife, Amy Key, daughter, Kortney Key and husband, Lance, son, Kasey Key, parents, Jimmy and Dorothy Key, brother, Jeff Key and wife, Stacy, niece and nephew, Katie Key and Kody Key, father and mother-in-law, Lonnie Stewart and Chrisi Gamble and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two cousins, Larry Bishop and Steve Melton and father-in-law, L.B. Gamble.

Funeral services for Mr. Key will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro. Family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at Fisher Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to The Amercian Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247.
