Richard Doublin Obituary

Richard "Pete" Doublin, 87, of Eddyville passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Stonecreek Health & Rehabilitation in Paducah. Pete Doublin was a member of Ironworkers Local 782.

Born Oct. 30, 1936, he was the son of the late Jessie William Doublin and Gracie Belle Williams Doublin.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Doublin and Darin Terry; one daughter, Michelle Cline; 11 siblings William (June Bug) Doublin, Jesse Ray Doublin, Lorene Ford, Velma Lee Brown, Georgia Mae Boyd, Geneva Myers, Mary Ellen Thomason, Glenda Teeters, Juanita Greear, and Stella Doublin.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Herron Doublin of Eddyville; four daughters, Diane Poole and husband Gary of Eddyville, Donna Hamelin and husband Bob of Amory, Mississippi, Diana Smith of Bardwell, Penny Doublin of Eddyville; and two sons, Paul Doublin and wife Robyn of Eddyville and J.W. Terry of Eddyville; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Dunn's. Rev. Kyle Franklin officiated. Burial followed in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Cunningham.
