George McDonald Obituary

March 21, 1924-Sept. 12, 2014 George L. McDonald, age 90, of Marysville, Wash. passed away September 12, 2014 at his daughters home surrounded by family, in Woodinville, Wash. George was born in DeSmet, South Dakota on March 21, 1924. George was a tireless provider and hardworking man. He worked as a Boeing machinist for over 20 years and also served in the U.S. Navy. His great sense of humor brightened our days. He was a mighty fisherman, hunter and gold-panner. He was loved by all that knew him and will be so very missed. He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Alice and sister, Irene. He is survived by his partner, Freeda Woods of Lake Stevens, Wash.; and five children, Jan Stewart of Cedar, Minn., Toni Lee of Denver, Colo., Jim McDonald of Maltby, Wash., Tom McDonald of Edmonds, Wash., and Cindy Clarke of Woodinville, Wash., along with their respective spouses; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. A memorial service will be held at Life Celebrations-Washelli in Bothell, on September 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local hospice in his name would be appreciated.
