Gerald Lee "Jerry" Morris

Gerald "Jerry" Lee Morris, 74, of Tulalip Bay, WA, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his home. Jerry was born on December 14, 1939, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Gerald and Marie Morris. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School, The University of Nebraska, and the University of Nebraska Medical School, finishing his formal education in 1964. He was drafted and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War with the First Cavalry Division. He practiced medicine in Kearney, Nebraska from 1971 to 1992 and established the Central Laboratory Associates at the Good Samaritan Hospital. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, and antique auto restoration. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who spent every day unselfishly caring for others. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Alice; daughters, MaryAnn (Mike) McDowell, Elizabeth (Paul) David, Misti (Ken) McDowell, and Chrissy (Michael) Morris; sons, Russell (Joy) Morris, and Robert (Betsy) Morris; and grandchildren, Sam, Georgia, Luke, Simone, Mabel, and Isadora. His parents and sister Patsy preceded him in death. A celebration of life will be held at his ranch in Sioux County Nebraska on July 19, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation of Everette, Washington or your local hospice.
