Hal was one of the Stanwood-Camano Hero Quilters. We were thankful for he & Lee's time spent with us making quilts for wounded soldiers. Thinking of all of you.

Hi Lee, I was so saddened to hear of Hal's death. I remember our visits to your lovely home in Oakland, and what a great job you did for me on my book. May God bless you richly with His Peace and Grace and warm your heart with wonderful memories of your husband. Love, Judy and Ken Irish

I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Hal's passing. I worked with Hal on many projects over the years; he was always great to work with, fun to talk to and to be around. Go Cougs!

Hal was one of the nicest guys we ever met. Funny, caring, interesting, happy... all words that come to mind when I think of Hal. I truly appreciated the fact that he took interest in how my family and business were doing. I looked forward to seeing him when he stopped by the store or the rink and enjoyed our friendly jabs at each other. Hal will be missed but will never be forgotten. He set a great example of how to treat other people and I hope that I can live by his example. God bless Hal.

When I sit down in the quiet and think about it; it still doesn't seem real that Hal is gone. I have so many memories over 20 years worth starting in junior high with Heather becoming fast friends and having one of the best birthday parties ever with her to having my daughter shortly after Donnie had Tailor raising our girls together. I have always loved your family as if they were my own. I love you all and wish I could be there with you this weekend while you remember the remarkable life of Hal. Hugs to you all!!!

Hal was a great man, father, grandfather and husband. In the short time that my family became acquainted with Hal and his family, he and they always made us feel like we belonged. Hal will deeply be missed.
