Jason Aaron Meyer

Jason Aaron Meyer, 39, a former Army Ranger and accountant, died Monday, July 8, 2013 in his Seattle home. Born March 14, 1974 in Ann Harbor, Michigan, he was the son of
Eugene M. Meyer and Joanne O. (Wells) Bennett. Jason faithfully served his country from 1993 to 1997 as a member of the Army Airborne Rangers, Second Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington. He later worked at Meyer Brothers Roofing as an estimator and Laughing Elephant as an accountant.
In his spare time, Jason loved spending time with his daughter, Lilly. He also enjoyed skydiving, creating and handcrafting furniture, and skiing. Jason was a journeyman roofer, a member of the United States Parachute Association, and had a woodworking certification from Seattle Central University. Jason was training to be a parachuting instructor at Kappowsin Skydive in Shelton, Washington.

(Patrick) Bramer, Jordan Bennett, Danielle Bennett of Traverse City, Sheridan Meyer, and Dillan Meyer of Seattle; nieces, Lauren, Gwyneth, Vivian and Amelia Bramer of Traverse City; nephew, Aidan Bramer of Traverse City; grandmothers, Carmen Wells of Traverse City and Cecelia Meyer of Rugby, North Dakota; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Private services were held in Snohomish, Washington, and an additional memorial and spreading of ashes will occur in Traverse City, Michigan at a later date.
In remembrance of Jason and in lieu of flowers and gifts, donations may be directed to the formation of a trust fund for his daughter, Lillian.
