Dear Cindi and family -- We have been out of the country on a family trip. I just wanted you to know that you are all in our heart and prayers. I wish you strength and love, and am so thankful for your strong ties to faith, family and your community.

So, so sad to learn of Jay's death. I flew a 12 day trip with him (at FedEx) many years ago in the DC-10 and would see him on the jumpseat between Seattle and Memphis. Hadn't seen him in a while (not unusual with our weird schedules), but had the wind knocked out of me when I saw the notice published by FedEx. He was too young and vital...my heart goes out to his family. Know that he was a fine aviator and was well-respected amongst his peers. Yes! I will plan a hike worthy of Jay's honor for this summer.

I am so sorry for the loss of a great man my son considered a 2nd dad! He will be sorely missed! Condolences to the family, especially Jake, my sons best friend and my " other son".

My husband and I have fond memories of time spent with Jay -- several in his beloved Leavenworth at their beautiful mountain cabin. Rest in peace, Jay. We pray comfort to Cindi and her children. Fondly, Bill and Jeanne Miele

I didn't know Jay, but I do know his son Jake who is a very special man and I know his dad must have been very proud of him. If ever anything I can do...

Jay...I will never forget the memories of our fun family gatherings growing up and your crazy pranks you'd pull right as the camera flash went off! I will see you again in God's marvelous, wonderous Heaven! Say Hi to Grammy & my dad

We are very shocked and saddened to learn of Jay's passing. We saw his name in the remembrance section of our church bulletin at St. John's Episcopal Church this morning. I commented to John that I was sure it was not the Jay Morrison we knew from our neighborhood. He was simply too young to die. Later, when reading the paper, we saw his picture and obituary and our worst fears were confirmed.
We admired Jay for his strength and leadership in the neighborhood. He will be greatly missed. We will pray for the repose of his soul and comfort for his family.

Our fond memory of Jay is watching him ride his bike while his dog ran along side him for excercise in the neighborhool. It was a brilliant plan as they both were having a grand 'ole time! We will miss Jay. Bo & Linda
