Marriann March 27, 1935 - De Groot Marriann Yvonne De Groot was born March 27, 1935, in Cicero, IL, and passed away on April 24, 2025, peacefully in her sleep at home in Stanwood, WA. Her most important role in life was being a devout Catholic and taking care of her family. Marriann and her husband Richard managed hunting and fishing resorts in WA, AK, Canada, including their own resort in MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents Lester & Florence Kreske, brothers, Jerry & Jimmy, and her son-in-law Tommy. Marriann is survived by her four children, Richard (& Vickie), MaryEllen, Karen (& Tom) & Linda (& Brent), grandchildren, Kari, Nicci, Saul, Derek, Benjamin, Kristy & Sarah, her sister Karen, and her 12 great grandchildren. During her last 20 years living at Lincoln Hill Apartments, she was well-liked and had many friends. She enjoyed going on excursions, playing Bingo and taking care of her beautiful Angel Trumpet Flowers that everyone enjoyed. A mass will be held May 6, 2025, at 10:30am at Saint Cecilia's Catholic Church, 26900 78th Ave NW, Stanwood, WA 98292. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
