Wanda Joan Haugstad (Hudson) passed away on April 23, 2024, in Edmonds, WA at the age of 86. She was born on September 16, 1937, in Americus, Kansas. Wanda graduated from Everett High School in 1956. After high school she went to work for the phone company, later worked for the kitchens of Everett School District, then cleaned homes for several years, finally ending her working years by helping to manage Losvar Condominiums in Mukilteo, Wa.
Wanda was known to her loved ones as a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a vibrant personality and enjoyed making others laugh with her quick wit and unfiltered comments. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, doing countless puzzles, trips to the casino and playing Bunco. Above all, she took immense pride in her family, often boasting about her children and grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her son Brock Haugstad (Shelley), daughter Brooke Ford (Tom "TJ"), brother Walter Doyle, grandchildren Jacob, Emily, Dawson, Cole, and great-granddaughter Vivienne. She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Edna Hudson (Cress), and brothers Duane, Darrell, and Kent Hudson.
Fulfilling Wanda's wishes, there will be no memorial service. Wanda's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

I remember her from going to school with Brock and Brooke. I mostly remember her standing on the corner of her balcony at the Lasvar Condos talking to us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I was at the hospital when the kids were born. She was a great friend and wonderful mother. She also had a great smile and personality and her red hair matched her temper at times but she got over it. I am sorry I lost touch. My sympathy to all of you and may she rest in peace. Margie
