Wendy Olson Obituary

Wendy A. Olson

Wendy A. Olson, 53, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2012, at her home in Lake Stevens, WA.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ken Olson; and her daughter, Shannon Ottow; son, Andy Olson, both of Snohomish; her son, Michael Olson (Meegan) of Spokane; and her four grandchildren, Will and Brock Olson and Skyler and Audrey Ottow. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Fletcher (Patty) of Jacksonville, FL.
Wendy inspired her family with her eccentric personality. She was an avid cook, mastering Korean and other ethnic foods. She also loved to sew, knit and read. She used all of these gifts to give back to family and friends. Her beef jerky was a favorite gift to give and the recipients of these gifts were always grateful. She, more than anything, loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family trust at Chase Bank in memory of Wendy A. Olson. Services will be held at Snohomish First Presbyterian Church, a date and time to be determined. Flowers will be graciously accepted at that time.

Ken and Shannon, I am so sorry to hear the very sad news of Wendy's death. I love that she was described as an eccentric personality; the few times I was around her gave me a hint of that which is probably why I was so drawn to her. I am particularly sad for Skylar and Audrey Anna, such special children to have so much loss in their young lives. Wendy will be missed and remembered at the next Mooers family reunion.
