Evelyn Boyd Obituary
CLOVER - Evelyn Davis Boyd, 87, of 1660 Paul Boyd Road, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at home.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday June 17, 2012, at Bethel Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. John Gess and Marcus VanVlake officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
Mrs. Boyd was born Dec. 6, 1924, in the Bethel Community to the late Harold Kendrick and Hester Jackson Davis. She was the widow of Paul Neil Boyd Sr. and a lifetime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Boyd was a graduate of Clover High School and a 1945 graduate of Winthrop College. In 1951, she and her husband, Paul Boyd, opened Boyd Tire and Appliance, where she was the secretary and treasurer.
Survivors are her daughter, Kathy B. McCall of Wilmington, N.C.; sons, William D. Boyd (Brenda) and P. Neil Boyd Jr. (Emily), both of Clover, S.C.; sister, Grace Alexander of Clover; sister-in-law, Ruth B. McGill of Clover; and grandchildren, Brown Davis Boyd and Lauren Lucky.
The family would like to thank Raymon Pettus, Shirley Coker and Orene Clinton for the exceptional care.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Cemetery Association, 2445 Hwy. 557, Clover, SC 29710.
