Helen Grice Obituary

Clover, South Carolina - Mrs. Helen Williams Grice, 83, peacefully entered her Heavenly Home on January 1, 2023 surrounded by her family. Helen was born December 20, 1939 in Union County, North Carolina to the late Daniel Roosevelt Williams and Thelma Belk Williams.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at the Clover Church of The Nazarene, 102 Hagans St., Clover, SC with the Rev. Brett Boykin and Rev. Johnathan Pannell officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at M.L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Clover. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Grice worked for The American Thread Company for many years until she retired to enjoy her later years as a full-time mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of the Clover Church of The Nazarene where she served on the board for many years. She also served on the Clover Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde David Grice, infant son Tony Randall Grice, son in law Ronald Terry Gordon, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are her children Sandra Cockman (Rusty), Randy Grice (Lisa), Donnie Grice (Cindy) and Linda Martin (Bobby) all of Clover; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; and sister Jackie Eller of Marshville, NC.
Mrs. Grice enjoyed spending time in her flower beds and watching the many birds at her bird feeders and her greatest passion was watching The Western Movies. She enjoyed all the time she spent with her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach, cruising, reading, working puzzles and spending time with friends.
Mrs. Grice had many friends that she treasured and enjoyed spending time with, whether it be visiting the Dr's or attending church. Including but not limited to Ms. Lou Hodge, Eleanor Michaels and many more. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kelly Rainey for all the Dr visits that she transported Mom to and for just being a special friend. Mrs. Grice also leaves behind her furbaby of many years, Chip Grice.

Had the wonderful experience this past September. I met Mrs Grice at my grandson´s weeding. We became friends that day, so we started writing each other. I was going too mail her a third letter but, Heaven is a good distance away. No more pain and sorrow, enjoy all your love ones in Heaven

Dear Randy, Lisa, Donnie and Cindy, i want you all to know im thinking of you and praying Gods comfort for you during this difficult time. She is with her husbsnd now. I didnt know Helen but have talked to her several times. Her church family and friends will surely miss her. Wanted you all to know i think alot of yall and wish i could see yall more.
