My heart goes out to the family. Brien and I were close friends in the garage band days of the Vikings. One of the best. He will surely be missed

We are so, so sad to hear of Brien's passing. What a wonderful friend he has been to us! He was a dear friend to Wane for 35 years, and to me since Wane and I got married 13 years ago. He was a great and much loved friend to both of us. He will be missed sorely, and his memory will be a precious treasure to us both. We will never forget his kind, benevolent demeanor, his embracing smile, and his caring heart! We will miss playing music with him. What a talent and what wonderful guy! We miss you, dear friend!

Brien and his sister introduced us 44 years ago and we are deeply grateful. We had lots of fun eating those yummy Brien Ward steaks and sitting around listening to Brien playing the guitar and singing and watching Little Bean run around. We are certain he is playing with the Angel Band now. Thanks for all the good times Big Bean!!
