Wake Forest, North Carolina - Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Duch, 75, of Wake Forest died peacefully in her home with her family by her side Tuesday, August 22, 2023. She was born in Manhattan, New York to the late Clarence Moriarty and Ann Kerchesky Moriarty on August 28, 1947.
Liz's life work was as a registered nurse for 34 years, last at the Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Fores for more than a decade. She valiantly battled stage 4 cancer for 15 years. She was a faithful member of her church and supported various causes. She will be best remembered as a woman, wife and mother of great old fashion values.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o'clock, Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023 at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 600 West Holding Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Duch is survived by her husband of 53 years, Michael A. Duch; children; Kathleen Bierly & husband, Dave of Creedmoor, Karen Duch of Bolivia, NC, Bryan Duch of Wake Forest and Michael Duch & wife, Lindsey of Maiden, NC; grandchildren; Amber Bierly and Zion Duch; brother, Edward Moriarty (Josephine Longo) of New York; sister-in-law, Helen Silvesky(Walter); nieces nephews; and extended family.
