Edith Zara Obituary

Edith I. Zara, 89, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Union, NJ, died on Sep. 6, 2012. Services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, at St. Martha's Catholic Church with burial in Sarasota National Cemetery at 11:30AM. Funeral arrangements by: Toale Brothers Funeral Homes.
Edith is survived by her husband of 60 years, Anthony J. her daughters, Lynn Wexler-Margolies and Deborah Zara Kobylt and husband John Kobylt and by her 6 grandchildren, Joshua Wexler, Ariel Wexler, Shoshana Wexler, Justin Kobylt, Jordan Kobylt and James Kobylt. Mrs. Zara was a valued volunteer with the Sarasota Opera Guild, Asolo Theatre and the Players Theatre. She was a member of the Gulf Coast Italian Culture Society, the Italian Culture Events, the Ausonian Society and the Ringling Museum. Mrs. Zara was a beloved member of St. Martha's Catholic Church and the St. Martha's Council of Catholic Women.
She will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Martha's Catholic Church in the name of Edith Zara.

Dear Mom,
Your birthday on Sept. 2nd is approaching. And so is the one year anniversary of your passing on Sept. 6th. People say it gets easier with time...but as each day passes, it gets harder for me.
I miss calling you and talking with you each day...and so many moments I want to share with you but you are not here to share the laughter and even some tears. You are missed terribly by me, John, the boys, dad and your friends. What a wonderful life you have led to be so fiercely loved and remembered. I pray for you each day...and I pray that the sadness of missing you somehow gets easier.

Dear Lynn and Debbie, Please accept my condolences..my Mom passed away last year, so I can understand the grief you must be sharing. Today, I was at the Italian market and thought about your Mother and her meatballs..as I was buying ground meat and I googled her name to find this obiturary...It has been a long time since we have spoken and I hope life is well.
