Memorial Service to be held in CT. TBA/ placement of Urn.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Constance Culotta Leniart, his sisters, Frances Gilot, Helen Sacilowski, Phyllis Trasko; brothers John (Sticker), Stanley (Chuck), Anthony (Tony), George and his parents Michael and Mary (Slaga) Leniart. Edward was survived by his daughter Maryanne Leniart Galomb of Sarasota, formerly of Norwich, CT and his son Michael Leniart of Sarasota, formerly of Norwich, CT, sister Stella Worski of Norwich, CT, grandchildren Tylor Galomb of Sarasota, Heather Leniart of Norwich, and two great grandchildren Erika and Kylah of Norwich.
Edward Leniart was a loving, caring and nurturing individual whose family values reflected his everyday lifestyle. He worked 35 years in Civil Service in Groton, CT. During his post-retirement, he worked part time at Gorin's Furniture in Norwich and as a shuttle driver for the Comfort Inn Suites running routes of transportation for both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, a job that Ed enjoyed tremendously. A caring spirit and loving heart made him genuine,-- 'the real deal'-- always willing to lend a hand or advise. Total dedication to family reflected in the "little" pleasures he deemed simplistic and home grown.
His memory will live on forever in our minds and our hearts; time will allow us to heal, to adjust to cope---We will miss Ed (our Dad), our friend, our mentor... but he precedes us into eternity in the best of company... he goes with GOD xoxoxo

Coots and Mike,

I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of times we spent together. Barn Island and the boat to Napatree will always hold a special place for me. I remember your fathers vanilla cake. It was always the best I had ever had and he mixed it all by hand. Good memories. We all have so many good ones to cherish. My love to you all
