Paul Scheuermann Obituary

Scheuermann, Paul Charles
Feb. 10, 1937 - Oct. 28, 2014
Paul Charles Scheuermann died October 28, 2014, at age 77 due to throat cancer from smoking. He was born February 10. 1937, in Elmhurst, NY. Paul followed in his father's footsteps as a second generation master electrician for Local #3. He was the general foreman for the Twin Towers project, the remodeling of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building, La Guardia Airport and the Chrysler Building. He raised his family in Manhasset, NY and moved to Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club, Sarasota, FL in 1999. Paul was very active in the Club - assisting in the remodeling of the Clubhouse and serving on the Common Grounds and Greens Committees.
He is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Loretta; daughter Lauren Ann Vazquez and her husband, Carlos, of New York; and son Ryan Paul Scheuermann and his wife Angie of Colorado. He was fortunate to have two beautiful grandchildren, Paul Vasquez, age 7, and Alanna Grace Scheuermann, age 6.
Paul was a kind, caring man who loved his community, as well as everyone who was connected with the Club. A celebration of his life will be held at Heritage Oaks G & CC on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either The Moffit Cancer Center (12902 Magnolia Dr, Tampa, FL 33612) or Tidewell Hospice (5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238).

Uncle Paul - we have lost you now after decades of ferocious battling against all odds, but we can NEVER lose your humor, your laughter, or your undying spirit! Thank you for those remarkable gifts, and we look forward to celebrating them this weekend in the true fashion you would have wanted - and would be doing yourself if you were here. Don't worry, I'll save a tall glass of Absolut for you!

All my love til we meet again,
Craig

Our Paul will live in our hearts, always. Blessed to have been in his presence these past yrs. Touched many lives with his humor, the twinkling in his eyes, the smile and (messing up Naaman's hair each time he could). Our hearts are broken but the love he's left us to share with others will remain. Loretta, his other half we love you and are here for you...Patti and Naaman

whenever Paul would come to the office or I'd see him in the hallway, he ALWAYS had such a heat-warming smile. He was always pleasant to be around. He will be deeply missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Scheuermann.

As a Hospice Chaplain I meet all kinds of people...but Paul, like the Twin Towers you helped erect, you towered. Your courageous accepting life with its joys and sorrows without complaining. It was glorious agony helping you cross over.

Loretta, Lauren, and Ryan...God be with you we have not seen the last of Paul.

Paul was always a joy to be around. Always upbeat and full of piss and vinegar. He lived life to the fullest, andnow I pray that Heaven is ready for a very active newcomer to the Kingdom!!!!!

Paul was one of my best friends. He loved life and living it to the fullest. He gave one of the most courageous and determined efforts to continue it. A joy to be with on the golf course, at dinner and drinks, or just to bump into and share thoughts. We are all better for knowing Paul and sharing his love.
