Albert Arndt Obituary

Albert Allen Arndt

Albert Allen Arndt, 88, of Maiden, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2021.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 2, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 105 Old Tram Rd. in Lincolnton, with Bishop Ben Stoddard officiating. The family will have a private graveside memorial at a future date.

A retired long-distance truck driver and insurance salesman, Allen never met a stranger. He was full of many stories and shared them with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren often. Allen was happiest while he was surrounded by friends and family.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Margaret Kathleen Thronburg Arndt; sister, Francis (Marvin); twin daughters, Karen and Kathy; and his son, David Arndt.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nancy Bost Arndt; daughter, Cindy Hand (Danny); sons, Brian (Becky) and Bruce (Sandra); daughter, Rena Kay; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of Allen's late daughter, Kathy, who suffered from MS.
