Brian Joseph King, 66, of Hickory, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at Carolina Caring.
Born June 14, 1956, in Monroe, he was the son of the late Peter John King Jr. and Dorothy Langdon King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in- law, the late Blaine and Roberta Baxter; along with his beloved fur babies who brought him immense love and tons of laughter, dogs, Kendall, Kelsey, Josey, Murphy, Ernie, Murphy Brown, and Milo; and cats, Ralph, Snoopy, and Annie.
Brian graduated from Belmont Abbey College, and was retired from SI Solutions.
Brian never met a stranger and had a passion for photography, making sure the light and object placement was just right. He was intrigued with the gifts of nature and a skillful craftsman for any project.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; along with the apple of his eye, his fur baby, Arlo. Brian's siblings are: Eileen Evans (Bob), Catherine McIlvaine, Dr. Rebecca King (Roy Piscitello), Carolyn Carroll (Arnie), Kevin King (Marina Mooney), and Julia Lopez (Mike); and nephews and nieces: Robert Evans (Janice Huang), Christine Rosinski (Bobby), Dr. Joseph Piscitello (Amy), Caroline Habliston (Chazzo), Sallie Piscitello, Michael Lopez (Chanel), and Dr. Johnathan Lopez.
No service will be held in honor of Brian's wishes.

What an honor to have shared the friendship of Brian King. My family dinner parties can never be the same in the absence of Brian and his conversation on any subject. He was a friend to all who knew him and he was a master of perfection in any skill that he learned. I had much respect for his faith in God and his dedication from his youth to the Catholic Church. Brian was a very special man who leaves a deep footprint in the lives of his many family and friends.
