He served as President of the Property Owners Association, served as a President of the Rotary Club of Marble Falls, taught Sunday School at The Church at Horseshoe Bay, volunteered with the Nature Park Board, continued as a Boy Scout leader, and became a Texas Master Naturalist. A lifelong golfer and outdoorsman, he enjoyed his retirement years playing golf and boating.

Stan will be remembered for his deep faith in God, devotion to family, and enduring commitment to service.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Gerald Smith.
