Mr. Hirschi was my favorite teacher in the world. His character was unmatched and there was no better automotive instructor anywhere. He had a sense of humor which you had to have when teaching automotive and welding. I have a 100 memories of him, snowmobiling, conquering Logan Cave, and many more, but my favorite was his reaction when showing the class how to hook up a battery charger. Unknown to any of us the battery was cracked and when the charger sparked it blew up. Of the ten of us gathered around the car, he was the only one wearing safety glasses. Without losing his temper he ushered all of us to the tool room where all the safety glasses were stored. I know he will be missed

Loran was a great grandpa. He took time with his grandchildren. He was always kind & welcoming to us when we would come to visit jaimee, Brian & family. Loran was always interested in how we were doing. We know our grandchildren loved him & appreciated all he did for them. We remember the beautiful blessing He gave Spencer when ordaining him to a priest. We will miss our visits with him.
Our condolences to the family. May god extend his tender mercies upon you.

Loran was a great neighbor for many years on Ellendale Ave. He fixed things, plowed sidewalks and looked out for my mother, Pat Brown, as well as others to this very day. A tremendous example of Christlike service. He was also a very knowledgeable auto shop teacher at Logan High while I attended. Thank you for all your service!
